Beagle Name Service

Identity is essential, but we need a completely different type of identity in the metaverse. Metaverse should be an open system, a virtual online universe where anybody can participate. One’s metaverse identity cannot be controlled or operated by a single entity or authority. It needs to be global, unique, private, permanent, secure, standardized, recognizable, interoperable, and verifiable. This identity should also be able to interact with other users and have the ability to hold, transfer, and exchange digital assets. The decentralized identification on the blockchain, which we now use for crypto wallets, perfectly fulfills the requirements listed, but it lacks a few important features.

If memorizing phone numbers or IP addresses was bad, imagine trying to remember or type in blockchain addresses each time you need to interact with other community members in the crypto metaverse. Beagle will introduce and incorporate a blockchain name service that ties together human-readable names such as' “john”’ with machine-readable identifiers and blockchain addresses such as' 0x844ca7ed78a3D6cE5CB2d0574F6A8d7ae4eBc2B7'. Other people will be able to send and receive money as well as interact socially by using coinaddress.info/john or john.coinaddress.info. This will allow each member of the community to have an easily identified and easily remembered name. Each member will receive their own personal profile page in the form of "coinaddress.info/john".

During the initial phase of the launch, we will select 100 participants to attend the initial beta launch of the project. After the initial launch, we will require users to deposit BSDN coins to be able to secure their name. The right to the name acquired can be transferred or sold to other members of the community. Beagle Dao will charge a fee on the transfer of the name, and that fee will be used for the maintenance of the network as well as interest payments for stakers of tokens. Initially, Dao will charge a 5% fee, of which 70% will be used to pay token holders as interest and 30% will go to the dao chest for the operation of the network. The amount of deposit required to secure a name will adjust based on the price of the BSDN. A member who wishes to get their BSDN back can return the name to Dao, and Dao will then return the BSDN to the original owner. The amount of deposit required for securing a name and other services is to be determined by the community through voting.
